About Our Founder

The founder of DTD Autism Acceptance Project is Ericha Durr.  Ericha is a Bushnell Prairie City High School graduate. She also obtained her Associates in Applied Science from Illinois Central College and her Associates in Arts from Georgia Highlands College. Ericha is a mother of five children, three of whom who are Autistic.  Ericha's passion for Autism began with her first son's diagnosis in 2016. As many of you know, there is no manual for Autism. She learned early on that you have to advocate for your children. Her first project was getting a sensory room for the school her son attended in Jacksonville Florida, which she accomplished. That same school now has a mural of her son painted on their wall, which is now the face of this foundation. She continues to try to educate others about Autism, created a blog for ABA Therapy, helps other families with questions and direction and is currently running a fundraiser for her son's school in Illinois.
